NFL Free Agency Grades: How National Analysts Are Scoring the Lions’ Moves

The Detroit Lions have handed out performance-based bonuses to several players for their contributions during the 2024 season. The highest bonus went to safety Kerby Joseph, who earned nearly $1 million. Other top earners included Brian Branch, Sam LaPorta, and Ben Niemann, who also received substantial bonuses. The performance-based pay program rewards players based on their playing time and salary levels, and it’s designed to support those with lower base salaries. A total of 44 players earned bonuses of more than $100,000, reflecting the team’s emphasis on rewarding individual efforts.

Notably, LaPorta and Brock Wright, both tight ends, were rewarded for their impactful seasons. These bonuses not only highlight individual accomplishments but also underscore the Lions’ commitment to acknowledging players across the roster.
