Lions’ 2025 Road Schedule? Brutal.
The Detroit Lions are about to find out how tough they really are, because the NFL didn’t do them any favors with this year’s schedule — especially when it comes to road games.
According to CBS Sports, the Lions are set to play eight road games against teams that finished with winning records last season. That’s not just tough — it’s NFL history tough. No other team’s ever had that many tough road matchups in one season. Yikes.
And it gets worse early. In just the first six weeks, they’re on the road against the Packers, Ravens, Bengals, and Chiefs. That’s a gauntlet. Last season, Detroit didn’t pick up loss No. 2 until Week 15 — this year, they might hit that number by the bye in Week 8.
The NFC North isn’t getting any easier either. But Detroit ran the table in the division last year, sweeping all six games to win back-to-back division titles. The grind doesn’t stop in 2025 — the Lions are the only team that has to end the season with two division games on the road. Savage.
There is a silver lining: from Week 12 to Week 14, the Lions get a comfy three-game stretch at Ford Field. It’s tight timing — three games in 11 days — but they’ll be up against the Giants, Packers, and Cowboys. Detroit’s had their number recently, so that could be the perfect time to pile up some Ws before the final stretch.
