No. 3 Puzzle: Who Fits Best in New York

The Giants are back with their “Make the Case” series, where fans weigh in on what the team should do with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Two top analysts have weighed in with their predictions, and the debate is heating up.

Dane Brugler’s Pick: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Brugler from The Athletic has the Giants going with Cam Ward, the standout quarterback from Miami. Ward had an incredible 2024 season, throwing for over 4,300 yards and 39 touchdowns while also picking up four rushing TDs and even a receiving score. He cleaned up on awards, too, winning the Davey O’Brien and Manning Awards while being named ACC Player of the Year. Brugler believes Ward is the top QB in this draft, though opinions on the next-best option vary.

Josh Liskiewitz’s Pick: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State

On the other hand, Liskiewitz from Pro Football Focus has the Giants taking Penn State pass-rusher Abdul Carter. The 6’3”, 250-pound edge rusher was a dominant force in 2024, racking up 12 sacks and leading the nation with 23.5 tackles for loss. He also won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and was a unanimous All-American. Liskiewitz sees shades of Micah Parsons in Carter, saying he has the potential to be an All-Pro if he keeps getting stronger.

So, what should the Giants do? Do they take Ward as their franchise QB, or do they stack up the defense with a monster pass-rusher like Carter? Fans, it’s your call!
