The Texas Longhorns are facing off against Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night for a spot in the College Football Playoff final. If Texas loses, they’ll be knocked out of the running for a national championship against Notre Dame. At halftime, Ohio State’s up 14-7, and it’s been a tough game for Texas. The Buckeyes started strong, shutting Texas down until the Longhorns managed a late touchdown just before halftime. But Ohio State came right back with a 75-yard TD pass to reclaim the lead.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma fans are showing their true colors—rooting for whoever’s playing Texas, as always. Even though OU and Texas have both moved to the SEC, the rivalry’s still as strong as ever. Sooner Nation clearly doesn’t need any more reason to root against Texas, and social media is buzzing with anti-Texas sentiments.
OU fans are having a blast, with plenty of snarky comments and memes about the Longhorns’ inevitable collapse. It’s a good reminder that for Sooner fans, no matter what, Texas just can’t catch a break!
