Looks like the Giants might not be eyeing a quarterback with that No. 3 pick after all.
This week’s mock draft roundup — pulled from 45 mocks released in April — shows a clear shift: Colorado’s Travis Hunter (CB/WR) and Penn State’s Abdul Carter (Edge) are now the top picks for Big Blue. Each got selected 17 times (nearly 38%), while Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders appeared in just six mocks (13%).
BBV’s own Nick Falato made a solid case this week for going with the ultra-versatile Hunter over Carter if both are on the board. But if Hunter and Washington QB Cam Ward are gone? Fans say Carter’s the move.
Here’s a snapshot of some recent mocks:
Todd McShay (The Ringer): Carter at 3; trades back in for QB Jalen Milroe at 24
CBS, NFL.com, FOX Sports, DraftTek: All going with Carter
Pro Football Network, SNY, Yahoo, USA Today: Several leaning Hunter
A few outliers still have Shedeur Sanders going to the Giants, but it’s clear momentum has cooled on that front.
With the draft closing in, Giants fans should keep tabs on the Draft Hub for more updates, analysis, and prospect breakdowns.
