Oasis is officially back after a 16-year hiatus, with the “Live ’25” world tour kicking off on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff. The tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of their iconic album Definitely Maybe and marks the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher have performed together since their 2009 split. Initial UK and Ireland dates sold out rapidly, prompting the addition of more shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. The tour will also extend to North America, Mexico, Australia, and South America later in the year.
🎸 Band Lineup and Rehearsals
The reunion features a blend of classic and new members:
Liam Gallagher – vocals
Noel Gallagher – guitar and vocals
Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs – guitar
Gem Archer – guitar
Andy Bell – bass
Joey Waronker – drums
Rehearsals are set to begin in mid-May, with support acts including Richard Ashcroft and Cast.
🎶 Setlist Controversy: “Hello” Stays
Despite reports suggesting the removal of the song “Hello” due to its lyrical link to disgraced musician Gary Glitter, Liam Gallagher has confirmed that the track will remain in the setlist. The song, from their 1995 album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, incorporates lyrics from Glitter’s 1973 hit “Hello, Hello, I’m Back Again.” Liam addressed the controversy on social media, assuring fans that “Hello” will be performed.
🥂 Separate After-Parties for the Gallaghers
While the brothers have reunited on stage, they continue to maintain separate green rooms and after-parties during the tour. Friends and fans must choose sides, attending events based on which Gallagher provided their ticket. This arrangement is likely a measure to prevent further conflict, given their infamous 2009 backstage fallout.
