Eagles Fan Finds Surprise Note in Vintage Jacket Left at Super Bowl Parade
For one lucky Philadelphia Eagles fan, a piece of team history came with an unexpected message.
Amy Rannabargar, a La Salle University graduate student, was celebrating the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory at the Philadelphia Museum of Art when she spotted a vintage green Eagles Starter jacket hanging on a light post. Thinking someone had accidentally left it behind, she took a closer look—only to find a note taped inside.
“If found, do not return. This jacket belongs to you!” the message read. The anonymous fan explained they had originally found the jacket on the night of the Eagles’ first Super Bowl win in 2018 and felt it was only right to return it to the city after another championship. “Enjoy the jacket. I hope you get the opportunity to release it back into the world with another SB win soon. Go Birds.”
Rannabargar, a self-proclaimed “die-hard Eagles fan,” shared her discovery on Facebook, where it quickly went viral among Philly faithful. Inspired by the pay-it-forward gesture, she plans to continue the tradition when the Eagles (hopefully) win their next Super Bowl.
Now, the only question is—where will the jacket turn up next?
