Pittsburgh Pushing Hard to Land Game-Changing 4x All-Pro Player

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation is finally coming into focus. Justin Fields is out, heading to the New York Jets on a two-year deal worth up to $40 million. Russell Wilson is still available, but Pittsburgh seems to be looking elsewhere. They even brought back Mason Rudolph as a backup. But who’s taking the starting job?

It looks like the Steelers are making a serious push for Aaron Rodgers.

Steelers Pulling Out All the Stops for Rodgers

On Friday, the Steelers spent six hours meeting with the four-time NFL MVP. So far, Rodgers has been linked to Pittsburgh, the New York Giants, and the Minnesota Vikings. But since news of the meeting broke, the Giants moved on, signing Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million deal. Meanwhile, the Vikings are reportedly chasing Ryan Tannehill.

That leaves Pittsburgh as the clear frontrunner for Rodgers. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers are “aggressively pursuing” the future Hall of Famer.

At this point, unless something unexpected happens, Rodgers seems poised to join Mike Tomlin and a Steelers team that’s been competitive for nearly two decades. Pittsburgh has never had a losing season under Tomlin, and adding Rodgers could keep that streak alive while boosting their playoff hopes.

Now, all that’s left is for Rodgers to make it official.
