In recent years, the couple has made significant contributions to pediatric cancer research. In 2021, they raised $2.7 million for Seattle Children’s Hospital’s immunotherapy program, which aims to develop innovative treatments for childhood cancer.
Additionally, they donated nearly $3 million to the same hospital to support the ‘ImmunoHeroes’ initiative, furthering research in T-cell therapy for young patients battling cancer.
Beyond healthcare, Russell and Ciara have invested in education by contributing approximately $1.75 million to rebrand and support the Why Not You Academy, a charter school near Seattle dedicated to providing quality education to underserved communities.
