So, why wasn’t Raheem Morris in the annual NFL head coaches photo this year? Turns out, he just wasn’t there in time.
Every year, NFL coaches and owners gather for their big annual meetings, discussing everything from rule changes (like whether to finally ban the Tush Push) to ways to grow the game globally. And, of course, one of the fun traditions is the group photo of all 32 head coaches. Except this year, only 31 showed up for the picture.
According to Adam Schefter, Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris simply hadn’t arrived yet when the photo was taken. Schefter even made a point to post the photo and call out Morris’ absence, which felt a little extra. Maybe he’s just annoyed about not having the latest scoop on Kirk Cousins and the Falcons? Who knows.
At the time of writing, the post had nearly 500,000 views so yeah, not the best look for Morris. But honestly, the head coaches’ photo isn’t exactly a game-changer. It’s more of a fun side note in an otherwise serious week.
For context, Barstool’s Big Cat has been running a tradition for over a decade, where he gives each coach a ridiculous award based on the annual photo. This year, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer won the “People Forget Brian Schottenheimer is the Coach of the Cowboys” award. It’s all in good fun, but unfortunately for Morris, he missed out on his easiest award of the year.
Now, if he wants any recognition in 2025, he’ll have to earn it on the field.
