Reunion Rumors: Darius Slay Sparks Speculation with Flirtation with Former Team

Eagles veteran Darius Slay is openly flirting with his former team, the Detroit Lions, amid uncertainty about his future with the Philadelphia Eagles. Slay has expressed his love for both Philly and Detroit, saying he would love to be in either city.

Slay’s emotional tie to Detroit is strong, having spent seven seasons with the Lions after being drafted by the team in 2013. During his time in Detroit, Slay accumulated impressive stats, including 296 solo tackles, 104 pass breakups, 19 interceptions, and two fumble recoveries.

The Eagles might opt to move on from Slay due to his non-guaranteed roster option, which is worth around $16.1 million. If Slay becomes a free agent, a return to Detroit is definitely possible, especially considering the Lions’ potential void in their secondary with Carlton Davis becoming a free agent.
