Rob McElhenney Pays Fine for Super Bowl Winner’s ‘Violent’ Celebration

Rob McElhenney is showing his Philadelphia Eagles pride in a big way. After Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt was fined $5,690 for his “bow-and-arrow” celebration following a key play in the Super Bowl, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator stepped up, offering to pay the fine himself. McElhenney, a diehard Eagles fan, posted on X, jokingly telling Hunt, “DM me. I’ll pay this fine. Worth every penny.”

Hunt, however, had a different idea. Instead of accepting McElhenney’s offer, he encouraged fans to donate the money to a local Philadelphia charity instead. McElhenney honored the request, donating the full amount to Barbers Who Care Inc., an organization that provides free haircuts and essential supplies to underserved communities in Philly. Hunt was blown away by the gesture, responding, “Man of your word! This is amazing, thank you.”

McElhenney is no stranger to generosity—along with Ryan Reynolds, he’s helped Wrexham’s local community in various ways since taking over the football club. But this latest act is winning him even more love from Eagles fans, proving that passion for the team runs deeper than just football. #FlyEaglesFly
