Rodgers to Steelers? Big Announcement Coming Soon

It looks like the Aaron Rodgers saga is finally nearing its conclusion, and all signs are pointing to Pittsburgh. With the Minnesota Vikings officially out of the mix and the New York Giants signing Jameis Winston while still eyeing Russell Wilson, the Steelers seem like the last team standing in the Rodgers sweepstakes.

Steelers Are the “Safe Bet”

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, it’s a “safe bet” that Rodgers will end up signing with Pittsburgh. A source close to the situation reportedly confirmed that after Rodgers spent over six hours visiting the Steelers last Friday. NFL insider Ian Rapoport suggested Rodgers might wait until the week of the 2025 NFL Draft (starting April 24) to make things official, but Florio thinks the announcement could come much sooner.

April 9th Announcement?

Florio has a theory: Rodgers could reveal his decision during Big Night Out with Pat McAfee and Friends on April 9th in Pittsburgh. The four-time MVP appears on McAfee’s show every Tuesday during the football season, so announcing his next move at McAfee’s live event wouldn’t be a shocker.

Nothing is official yet, but if you’re a Steelers fan, you might want to mark April 9th on your calendar. Rodgers could be on his way to the black and gold very soon.
