Russell Wilson might have beaten the Giants last October, but there’s still a chance he could be wearing their jersey in 2025.
Despite signing Jameis Winston, the Giants aren’t ruling out adding another veteran quarterback—specifically, Wilson. According to multiple sources, Winston was brought in as a backup, not the team’s starter.
“They’re as much, if not more, in the market for a veteran starter than the Browns—and definitely more than the Vikings,” one source said.
The Giants are also technically still in the mix for Aaron Rodgers, though sources say that scenario is “unlikely.”
Winston’s deal—$4 million per year—doesn’t exactly scream “franchise QB.” Instead of serving as a bridge to a young quarterback, he might end up backing up another veteran.
And that veteran could still be Russell Wilson.
