Serena Williams Puts Loyalty First, Backs Her Dolphins Over All NFL Teams

Serena Williams made it crystal clear where her NFL loyalty lies   and it’s with the Miami Dolphins. While she could have supported any team, she shut that idea down fast, showing love only for the team she co-owns with her sister, Venus Williams.

The Williams sisters became minority owners of the Dolphins back in 2009 when team owner Stephen Ross sold shares to them and a few other big names like Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan. This move made them the first Black women to own a stake in an NFL team   pretty historic stuff.

Recently, Serena hopped on social media to prove her loyalty. Standing in front of a display of NFL helmets, she made it clear that there’s only one team that truly has her heart. “Alright guys! There’s only one helmet after my heart, and we all know it belongs to the Phins. Phins Up!” she said in the video.

What Other Teams Does Serena Own?
Serena isn’t just involved in football  she’s got her hands in multiple sports. Alongside her husband, Alexis Ohanian, and their daughter, she co-owns   Angel City FC, a pro women’s soccer team in LA. She also teamed up with Venus, Ohanian, and Olympia to own a piece of the   Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), which is part of the Tomorrow’s Golf League, a project founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Most recently, in March 2025, Serena became part-owner of the  Toronto Tempo, Canada’s first-ever WNBA team. Talking about this new venture, she said, “This moment is not just about basketball; it’s about showcasing the true value and potential of female athletes. Women’s sports are an incredible investment opportunity, and I’m excited to be part of building this WNBA franchise and legacy.”

Even though Serena retired from tennis in 2022, she’s clearly still making big moves in the sports world.
