So, Jameis Winston just joined the New York Giants, but things are already getting a little heated on the airwaves. Winston signed on as a backup QB, but before even stepping onto the field, controversy is brewing. Why? Well, after Winston posted a thank-you message to Cleveland, specifically highlighting his “iconic” snow game against the Steelers, WFAN host Shaun Morash took issue with it. He thought Winston was throwing shade at Russell Wilson by mentioning the win over him.

Morash didn’t hold back, calling Winston an “unintentional cancer” and saying the Giants should cut him immediately. He went on a rant, saying Winston was causing unnecessary drama in the locker room even before he’d had a chance to do anything for the team. The guy hasn’t even thrown a pass yet, but somehow, Winston’s already become a problem in the eyes of some, with accusations of dividing the fanbase and creating tension.

All Winston did was thank Cleveland for his time, but that’s enough to spark a full-blown QB controversy in New York. Guess that’s what happens when you’re a QB in the Big Apple—every little thing gets magnified.
