Steelers’ Draft Strategy Changes: Shedeur Sanders Gets a Look Before Round One

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now showing interest in Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Initially, it seemed the Steelers weren’t considering Sanders as a potential pick, especially after skipping his pro day in April. However, that’s changed  on April 8, it was confirmed that Sanders is scheduled for a visit with Pittsburgh later this week.

Sanders’ visit could be significant since he might still be available when the Steelers pick at No. 21. There’s speculation he could slide down the draft, and this meeting could push the Steelers to consider trading up if they see an opportunity.

Interestingly, Sanders also reposted a fan’s jersey swap of him in a Steelers uniform on his Instagram, adding the caption “Legendary,” which is in line with his self-confident persona. This visit could be the start of something bigger for Sanders’ draft journey with the Steelers.
