Steelers’ QB Plans: Talking with Rodgers While Evaluating Draft Prospects

Steelers Maintain Contact with Aaron Rodgers, Explore Draft QB Options
The Pittsburgh Steelers remain in discussions with Aaron Rodgers, keeping the door open for the veteran quarterback to join the team. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, there’s “ongoing dialogue” between the Steelers, Rodgers, and his agent, showing Pittsburgh’s clear interest.

However, if Rodgers decides to wait until after the draft or training camps, the Steelers may turn to the draft. The team has shown interest in Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, meeting with him at his Pro Day, and previously hosted Tyler Shough for a pre-draft visit. If Pittsburgh truly believes in one of these young quarterbacks, they could use an early pick rather than wait on Rodgers.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings are reportedly no longer a serious contender for Rodgers, leaving the Steelers, New York Giants, retirement, or a delayed decision as his main options.
