Tensions Escalate: Iranian Media Reissues Threat Toward Trump

A hardline Iranian newspaper, Kayhan, published a fiery and sarcastic piece over the weekend that took a direct shot at former U.S. President Donald Trump. The article, written in a satirical but aggressive tone, called for revenge over the U.S. killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and mocked Trump’s past threats.

The paper, which is closely tied to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, didn’t hold back. It said Trump’s warnings about military strikes if Iran didn’t strike a new nuclear deal were hollow. One line even went as far as saying Trump’s “empty skull” would soon “drink from the chalice of a cursed death”    an extreme reference meant to mock and threaten him over Soleimani’s assassination.

Despite Trump’s fiery talk, Iran has recently agreed to indirect talks    a shift from Khamenei’s earlier position of refusing any negotiations. Trump, meanwhile, has been saying he prefers direct discussions.

The  Kayhan  article also ripped into Trump’s record, blaming him for massive damage to the U.S. economy, suggesting he caused $3 trillion in losses, crippled exports, and sparked chaos in top American agencies like the military and CIA.

Overall, the piece read more like a scorched-earth rant than typical political commentary, clearly meant to provoke and stir up strong emotions around Soleimani’s killing and the future of U.S.-Iran relations.
