After finding out he’ll be sidelined “for a long time” due to a shoulder injury, Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold opened up to fans with a powerful Instagram post that revealed his mindset through adversity.

Shortly after Dan Campbell confirmed the severity of Arnold’s injury, the second-year cornerback shared a photo of himself kneeling in prayer, dressed in his Lions uniform. His caption read simply:
“God makes no mistakes 🙏🏾”
It was a brief message — but one that spoke volumes about the young defender’s faith, strength, and resilience since being drafted by Detroit in 2024.
A Season Setback, But a Strong Spirit
Arnold’s setback came just a week after the Lions placed D.J. Reed on injured reserve, leaving the defense without both starting outside corners. Campbell addressed the media, saying,
“He’s going to be out for a while. He’s going to be out for a long time.”
When asked whether the injury could end Arnold’s season, Campbell admitted he wasn’t certain yet — only that recovery would take time.
The news hit especially hard since Arnold was coming off one of his best games of the season against Cincinnati. Campbell praised him, saying,
