Terrion Arnold didn’t just step onto the draft stage to announce a pick—he stepped up with a little swagger and a perfectly timed jab at a division rival.
While Green Bay enjoyed the spotlight as the host city of the 2025 NFL Draft, it also became the target of a few well-aimed jokes from its NFC North rivals. First up was WWE star and die-hard Chicago Bears fan Seth Rollins, who couldn’t resist taking a playful shot at the Packers while revealing pick No. 56. But the real show-stealer? Detroit Lions rookie defensive back Terrion Arnold.
Drafted by the Lions at No. 24 in 2024, Arnold returned to the stage in 2025 to announce Detroit’s 70th pick—and took full advantage of the moment.
“You know, one year ago this weekend, I cried,” Arnold said to the Green Bay crowd Friday night. “Because I thought I was going to be a Packer. But the kings of the NFC North came and saved me.”
The crowd erupted in boos, but Arnold had already landed the punchline—and nailed the moment.
After the mic drop, it was back to business. With the No. 70 pick, the Lions selected wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa from Arkansas. The pick came as part of a trade with the Jaguars, who received Detroit’s No. 102 pick in this draft and two third-rounders in 2026. In return, Detroit also picked up a sixth-rounder this year (No. 182) and another sixth-rounder in 2026.
