The Detroit Lions already have a loaded offense, but they might be looking to add even more firepower in the upcoming NFL Draft. One name that’s getting a lot of buzz? Matthew Golden, a lightning-fast wide receiver from Texas.

A New Weapon for Goff?
According to Christian Booher of SI.com, Golden could be a perfect fit for the Lions at pick No. 28. The guy ran a jaw-dropping 4.29-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, proving he’s one of the fastest players in this year’s draft. Not only that, but he’s got sharp route-running skills and reliable hands.

Golden put up impressive numbers in college, racking up 987 yards and nine touchdowns in his final season. Plus, he’s got some kick return abilities, making him even more valuable.

What About Jameson Williams?
The Lions already have a speedster in Jameson Williams, but his future in Detroit is up in the air. He’s heading into the last year of his rookie contract, and the team will have to decide whether to extend him, use the franchise tag, or let him walk. Williams has shown flashes of brilliance but has also dealt with suspensions for gambling and PED violations.

If the Lions draft Golden, it could be a sign that they’re preparing for life without Williams. Either way, Detroit’s offense looks like it’s only getting scarier.
