Dorsey, 26, has been bouncing around teams like the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Giants before settling in Detroit. While he’s been a solid part of the Lions’ cornerback rotation, he’s really made his mark on special teams. In the 2023 season, Dorsey played in 13 games, spending 248 snaps on special teams. Last year, he ramped it up, logging a career-high 73 defensive snaps and 272 on special teams, racking up 14 tackles and two pass breakups. He also returned four kickoffs for 159 yards.
Sadly, Dorsey’s 2024 season was cut short due to a nasty ankle injury in Week 15, which ended his season and had him carted off the field.
With Dorsey’s return and Ya-Sin’s addition, the Lions now have seven cornerbacks under contract, including new signing D.J. Reed, plus Terrion Arnold, Ennis Rakestraw, Amik Robertson, and Stantley Thomas-Oliver.
