The Next Big Thing: 4-Star Texas RB Considers Alabama a Dream Destination

Texas 4-Star RB Considers Alabama a ‘Top School’

Jonathan Hatton, a 2026 four-star running back prospect from Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas, has Alabama on his radar. The Crimson Tide are one of the top schools on his list.

Hatton, who was once committed to Oklahoma but de-committed in December, has been in contact with Alabama’s running back coach Robert Gillespie. Gillespie visited Hatton last month, and the conversation went well.

“We talked about some good stuff,” Hatton said. “They are a top school on my list.”

Alabama offered Hatton in April 2024, and he considers it a blessing to have his talent recognized by a historic program like Alabama.

“It’s a blessing to have my talent recognized by another historic program like Alabama,” Hatton said. “They definitely put out a lot of NFL players year after year. It is definitely a place to consider if you want to go to the next level.”

Hatton finished his junior season with 134 carries for 1,229 yards and 20 touchdowns. He holds a personal record of 10.65 in the 100-meter dash.
