CLEVELAND — The Detroit Tigers have reinstated right-hander Reese Olson from the injured list, just in time for him to start Friday night’s series opener against the Cleveland Guardians.
To make room on the roster, the team has optioned outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy to Triple-A Toledo.
Olson’s return comes as the Tigers look to keep their momentum going in the AL Central race, while Malloy will get more playing time in the minors.
