Tough Times in Detroit: Lions Face Free Agency Setbacks

The Detroit Lions have been busy in free agency, but they’ve also suffered some significant losses. One of the biggest blows is the departure of guard Kevin Zeitler, who the team couldn’t afford to keep. Zeitler’s absence will be deeply felt, especially considering he was a key player on the Lions’ offense.

Another area of concern is the defensive line, where the Lions have lost several key players, including Marcus Davenport. The team will need to address these gaps in the upcoming draft if they want to remain competitive.

Despite these setbacks, the Lions are still shaping their 2025 team, and Dan Campbell is working to fill the gaps. The team has already made some moves, re-signing Levi Onwuzurike and signing cornerback DJ Reed. However, there’s still much work to be done if the Lions want to bounce back from their disappointing 2024 season.
