Donald Trump went off on George Clooney after the actor criticized his administration during a 60 Minutes interview. Trump fired back on Truth Social, calling Clooney a “second-rate movie star” and mocking his political influence.
Clooney, 63, appeared on the show to talk about his Broadway debut in Good Night and Good Luck, where he plays journalist Edward R. Murrow. But the conversation shifted when he addressed his decision to pull his support for Joe Biden, slamming the Democratic Party for “cowardice” and accusing them of covering up Biden’s declining health.
Trump wasted no time hitting back, blasting Clooney for flipping on Biden after once being a strong supporter. He also accused him of following orders from the “Obama camp” to push for Kamala Harris, calling it a failed strategy.
“Why would the now highly-discredited *60 Minutes* be doing a total ‘puff piece’ on George Clooney, a second-rate movie ‘star’ and failed political pundit?” Trump wrote.
He mocked Clooney for distancing himself from Biden after the first debate and criticized 60 Minutes for allegedly manipulating interviews something he also mentioned in his massive lawsuit against CBS.
Trump ended his rant by taking another jab: **“And now George Clooney again? His press agent should be making a fortune!!!”
