Trump Isn’t a Fan of His New Portrait Wants It Taken Down
Donald Trump isn’t happy with a new portrait of himself hanging in Colorado’s State Capitol. The former president called the painting “distorted” and went on a rant about it on Truth Social, blaming Colorado Governor Jared Polis for commissioning it.
Trump made it clear he’d rather have no portrait at all than what’s currently on display. “Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves,” he wrote. “But the one in Colorado, put up by the Governor… was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before.”
He also pointed out that the artist, Sarah Boardman, had previously painted Barack Obama—and in his opinion, she did a much better job back then. “He looks wonderful, but the one on me is truly the worst,” Trump added.
Taking another shot at Polis, Trump said the governor should be “ashamed” for allowing the portrait to be displayed. He even claimed that many people in Colorado were reaching out to complain about it.
To make his point even clearer, Trump posted an image of his official presidential portrait, suggesting it was a much better representation of him.
The portrait in question was actually unveiled back in 2019, but it seems Trump is only now calling for its removal.
