   Trump Says He’s ‘Not Joking’ About a Possible Third Term

Donald Trump has once again floated the idea of a third term in office, but this time, he insists he’s serious. In an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Trump claimed there are “methods” to get around the constitutional two-term limit, though he admitted there are no concrete plans just yet. He’s brought up the idea before, often playing it off as a joke  but now, he’s making it clear: “I’m not joking.” 

When asked about a rumored loophole where he could run as a vice president in 2028 and then take over if the elected president resigned, Trump brushed it off as “too early to think about” but didn’t shut it down completely. Instead, he said, “I like working.” 

    Trump ‘Pissed Off’ at Putin 
Trump also took a sharp turn on Russia, saying he’s “very angry” with Vladimir Putin over Ukraine and even threatened new tariffs on Russian oil if a ceasefire isn’t reached within a month. This comes after Putin suggested Ukraine should temporarily be run by the UN before holding new elections  an idea Trump didn’t seem to like. 

     Golf Diplomacy with Finland’s President 
Over the weekend, Trump played a round of golf with Finland’s president, Alexander Stubb, at Mar-a-Lago. Stubb later revealed that Trump is growing frustrated with Putin’s delay tactics on Ukraine and might push for a ceasefire deadline by April 20. 

     White House Correspondents’ Dinner Cancels Comedian 
The annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, usually a mix of journalism and comedy, is ditching humor this year. The event, set for April 26, has scrapped plans for a Comedian   likely to avoid any awkward moments with Trump, who famously skipped the dinner during his first term. 

    Smithsonian Under Trump’s Scrutiny 
Trump has also turned his attention to the Smithsonian Institution, accusing it of pushing “anti-American ideology” on race and gender issues. He’s issued an executive order called “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History,” aiming to remove what he sees as divisive content from the museum’s exhibits. 

     Other Headlines 
– Trump shrugs off criticism over tariffs, saying he “couldn’t care less” if car prices go up. 
– Special elections in Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Wisconsin are shaping up as an early test of Trump’s political strength.
