Trump Tightens Grip, Strips Security Clearance from Harris, Clinton, and Biden
Donald Trump is doubling down on his crackdown against political rivals. On Friday night, he revoked security clearances for several high-profile figures, including former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and even former President Joe Biden and his family.
This move comes after Trump’s administration had already pulled clearances from key officials of Biden’s presidency, like Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and Lisa Monaco. In his memo, Trump stated it was “no longer in the national interest” for these individuals to have access to classified information, ordering agencies to strip their clearance and block them from secure government facilities.
Also on the list? Former Rep. Liz Cheney, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg both of whom have played major roles in Trump’s ongoing legal battles.
It’s clear that Trump is sticking to his campaign promises of targeting opponents, and this latest move only fuels the fire in his ongoing political war.
