“Tyler Booker Ain’t Holding Back, DeBoer’s Plotting 2027, and Bama’s Gunning for Awards”

Bama Camp Kicks Off: Booker Gets Real, DeBoer’s Planning Ahead, and Ryan Williams Sends a Warning

It’s finally here — Fall Camp has officially kicked off in Tuscaloosa. Alabama’s back on the field with one month to go until the big opener against Florida State. Let’s get into what’s buzzing around the Tide right now:

Tyler Booker: “We’re doing algebra in a fist fight”

Former Bama lineman Tyler Booker, now grinding at Cowboys camp, dropped a line so real it might go down in football quote history. When asked about switching positions on the line, he said:

“We’re doing algebra in a fist fight.”

Tell me that doesn’t perfectly sum up football — brains and brawls, all at once. Dude nailed it.

DeBoer’s Already Thinking 2027

The 2026 recruiting class? Practically locked down with 21 commits already in the bag. Now Kalen DeBoer and his crew are jumping ahead to the 2027 class.

Some big names are lining up visits this fall:

* RB Kemon Spell (currently a Penn State commit) is eyeing Bama’s showdown with Tennessee on October 18.
* QB Elijah Haven, possibly the #1 guy in the entire 2027 class, is also planning a visit.

But here’s the twist — Haven’s expected to chase a massive NIL deal, and it’s doubtful Bama will match the price tag. More likely, the future Tide QB will be one of two homegrown studs: Trent Seaborn or Gunner Rivers.

Ryan Williams Just Sent a Message — Loud and Clear

On a Twitch stream, Ryan Williams had this to say:

“Y’all just don’t know… everything I was dealing with last year… Lord willing, got a lot in store, but this wasn’t nothing.”

Some fans took that as a subtle jab at Jalen Milroe, but it’s more likely he was talking about injuries that slowed him down. Either way — if that was Williams not at 100%, then the rest of the SEC better buckle up.

He’s still just 17 and already making jaws drop.

Tide Players All Over Award Watchlists

Two major preseason award watchlists dropped Tuesday, and Alabama was all over both.

Outland Trophy (Best interior lineman):

* OT Kadyn Proctor
* C Parker Brailsford
* OG Jaeden Roberts
  (Only Bama and Oregon had 3 players on the list.)

Bronko Nagurski Trophy (Top defensive player):

* DL Tim Keenan III
* DL LT Overton
* LB Deontae Lawson

Safe to say, the national media still expects Alabama’s big boys to dominate.
