Unsung hero Isaac TeSlaa could hold the key to unlocking Lions offense after bye

The Lions have plenty of big names on offense — Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta — but every successful attack needs that surprise element. Isaac TeSlaa could be that piece waiting to shine after the bye week.

He’s big, smart, reliable, and has earned more trust from coaches every week. TeSlaa doesn’t need ten targets to make an impact — he just needs that one perfectly timed deep ball or tough third-down catch that swings momentum. With defenses focusing on stopping Detroit’s top threats, he keeps slipping into open space, ready to strike.

If Ben Johnson starts scheming him into matchups against weaker corners, the Lions offense becomes harder to predict and a lot tougher to defend. Detroit already looks dangerous, but unlocking TeSlaa’s role could push this group into a new gear as they attack the second half of the season.
