A bunch of big deals have gone down in the NFC recently. Here’s a look at some of the most interesting signings and contract details:
Tershawn Wharton (Panthers, DT) – Wharton, formerly a key piece next to Chris Jones in Kansas City, is cashing in with a 3-year, $45.1M deal. The Panthers are giving him $30.25M fully guaranteed, and he’s got a $9M incentive package tied to sacks, playoff success, and Pro Bowl appearances.
Grady Jarrett (Bears, DT) – The longtime Falcons standout is heading to Chicago on a 3-year, $42.75M deal. He’s guaranteed $27.25M at signing, with most of his 2026 salary locked in ahead of time. The Bears will have their first real chance to get out of the contract in 2027.
Ben Bredeson (Buccaneers, G) – Tampa Bay is keeping Bredeson around on a 3-year, $22M contract. He gets $12.5M guaranteed at signing, and there are roster bonuses in 2026 and 2027 that could boost his earnings.
Bobby Brown (Panthers, DT) – The Panthers are also bringing in Brown on a 3-year, $21M deal. Only $6.8M is guaranteed at signing, but he can push that to $9.58M in total guarantees. The contract also has a $6M incentive package.
Brandon McManus (Packers, K) – Green Bay is betting on McManus with a 3-year, $15M deal. His $5M signing bonus is the only fully guaranteed part, but he’s got a $1.4M base salary locked in for 2025 and a $1M roster bonus in 2026.
KaVontae Turpin (Cowboys, WR/Returner) – Turpin re-signed for 3 years, $13.5M, a bit lower than originally reported. Dallas is guaranteeing $5M at signing, including a $3.6M signing bonus. If he can hit 500 receiving yards in a season, he earns a $250K bonus, and that jumps to $500K if he hits 700 yards.
Jacoby Brissett (Cardinals, QB) – After bouncing around on one-year deals, Brissett finally gets some security with a 2-year, $12.5M contract. He’s got $8M guaranteed and could play a key role as a backup in Arizona.
James Hudson (Giants, OL) – The Giants are giving Hudson $11M over two years, with $5.8M guaranteed at signing. His 2025 salary is locked in, but 2026 is still up in the air.
Jordan Mason (Vikings, RB) – Minnesota snagged Mason from the 49ers and immediately locked him into a 2-year, $10.5M extension. He’s getting $7.23M guaranteed, and if he hits 800 rushing yards in a season, he gets an extra $200K bonus.
Roy Robertson-Harris (Giants, DL) – The Giants also brought in Robertson-Harris on a 2-year, $9M deal, with $5.3M guaranteed at signing. They’ll owe him $2.4M in dead money if they cut ties after just one season.
Teams across the NFC are making moves to lock in talent before the season kicks off. We’ll see how these deals pan out!
