Jeff Okudah Signs One-Year Deal with Vikings After Visit
The Minnesota Vikings have added another piece to their secondary, signing former Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah to a one-year deal. Okudah, the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, visited Minnesota on Monday before agreeing to terms on Tuesday.
Despite being a highly touted prospect coming out of Ohio State, Okudah has struggled to find consistency in the NFL. The Vikings will be his fourth team in four years after brief stops with the Falcons and Texans. Last season, he appeared in just six games due to injuries.
Now, at 26, Okudah has a chance to revive his career under Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, whose unit led the league with 24 interceptions in 2024. With Minnesota’s secondary needing reinforcements, Okudah could have a shot at a significant role in 2025.
