The Detroit Lions’ dominant ground game has been a talking point all season, but it didn’t take long for one of the NFL’s most feared defenders to respond when that confidence spilled into Cleveland’s territory.
After Lions offensive coordinator John Morton boldly said that the Browns “haven’t seen a run game like ours,” All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett wasted no time clapping back.
Garrett, never one to shy away from a challenge, smiled when asked about Morton’s comment during his media session. “We’ve seen a lot of good run games,” he said calmly. “They haven’t seen a defense like ours.”
The Lions, powered by the one-two punch of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, currently boast one of the league’s most balanced rushing attacks. But the Browns—led by Garrett and a defensive front that’s been nearly impossible to run against—are confident they can put an end to that momentum.
“This game is about who’s tougher,” Garrett added. “We’ll settle it on the field.”
With two physical teams and strong personalities on both sidelines, Sunday’s matchup between the Lions and Browns is shaping up to be a heavyweight fight. Detroit’s offense believes it can’t be stopped—but Garrett and the Browns’ defense seem ready to prove otherwise.
