We’re just over a week away from the 2025 NFL Draft, and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. teamed up with Field Yates for a fresh three-round mock draft. They took turns picking and laid out their take on what each team might do—including the Giants.

Here’s what they’re predicting for the Giants’ first four picks:

Pick #3 – Abdul Carter, Edge Rusher, Penn State
Field Yates thinks Carter is just too good to pass up, even though the Giants still need a quarterback. He says the team can address the QB spot later in the draft—especially if they’re not sold on Shedeur Sanders from Colorado. Carter would beef up an already solid pass-rush unit with his explosive play.

Carter’s got an impressive track record. He started as a linebacker and racked up stats across the board—sacks, tackles for loss, deflections, and forced fumbles. But it was his move to full-time edge rusher this past season that really turned heads. He posted 12 sacks, 23.5 tackles for loss (the most in the country), and added more honors to his name, including Unanimous All-American and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

The dude’s a game-wrecker—plain and simple.
