West Virginia Heads to Stillwater for Clash with Oklahoma State

The No. 17-ranked West Virginia women’s basketball team is wrapping up their two-game road trip with a matchup against Oklahoma State on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 3 p.m. ET in Stillwater’s Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The game will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network and ESPN+. Fans can tune in on 100.9 WZST-FM or the Varsity Network App for the radio broadcast, while Adam Hildebrandt and Latricia Trammell will be on the call for ESPN+.

This is the 29th meeting between West Virginia (13-2, 3-1 Big 12) and Oklahoma State (13-2, 3-1 Big 12). The Mountaineers are looking to break a two-game losing streak against the Cowgirls and secure their first win in Stillwater since 2022. Oklahoma State has a strong trio of scorers: Micah Gray (15.1 PPG), Stailee Heard (14.7 PPG), and Anna Gret Asi (12.2 PPG). Heard also leads in rebounds (8.3 RPG) and steals (1.5 SPG).

The Cowgirls are 10-1 at home this season and have had a solid start to conference play with wins over Iowa State, Baylor, and Cincinnati, though they did drop a game to Kansas.

On the WVU side, senior guard JJ Quinerly is leading the team with 18.9 PPG and ranks fourth in the Big 12 for scoring. Junior guard Jordan Harrison (14.6 PPG) leads the Mountaineers with 5.1 assists per game. Quinerly and senior guard Kyah Watson are defensive standouts, with Watson averaging 7.6 rebounds per game and Quinerly leading the Big 12 in steals (3.1 SPG). The team has been dominant defensively, averaging 14.7 steals per game (best in the Big 12, third nationally) and forcing 25.8 turnovers per game.

West Virginia is putting up an impressive 81.9 points per game and has outscored opponents by an average of 30.7 points this season.

Quinerly is also climbing up the program’s all-time rankings, sitting 11th in points (1,628) and 6th in steals (275), just three steals shy of moving into the top five.
