The Detroit Lions kicked off Day 3 of the NFL Draft with a bold move, trading up from the sixth round into the fifth to grab LSU offensive lineman Miles Frazier. To move up to the 171st pick, Detroit sent picks 182 and 228 to the New England Patriots.
Frazier brings versatility and reliability to Detroit’s offensive line. He spent three seasons starting for LSU, mainly at right guard, but he also saw action at right tackle and left guard. Impressively, Frazier didn’t allow a single sack across 13 starts last season. Over his entire college career, he surrendered just four sacks—a testament to his consistency and skill.
Durability is another box Frazier checks. Over the past four years—three at LSU and one at Florida International—he never missed a game, logging over 3,200 snaps and making 51 career starts.
Frazier is the second interior lineman Detroit has added this draft, joining Georgia standout Tate Ratledge, who was selected in the second round on Friday. The Lions are clearly making the trenches a top priority.
