Looks like there’s already talk about whether Trump could be ousted from the White House this time, not by an election, but by his own team.
According to political analyst Adam Boulton, Trump’s biggest threat might not be the Democrats, but himself. His unpredictable decisions like dissolving the Department of Education, renaming the Gulf of Mexico, and shaking up international trade with tariff threats could push even his most loyal supporters to reconsider their allegiance.
Boulton suggests that if Trump’s policies tank the economy or lead to a military clash with an ally, Republicans might start looking at Vice President JD Vance as a more stable option to keep their party in power.
So how could it happen? There are two main ways. First, impeachment which Trump survived twice in his first term. The other option? The 25th Amendment. If a majority of Trump’s cabinet declares him unfit for office, Congress could step in. But it wouldn’t be easy a two-thirds vote in both the House and Senate would be needed to make the removal permanent.
For now, it’s all speculation. But if Trump’s decisions start causing serious fallout, it sounds like some Republicans might be ready with a backup plan.
