Who Should the Giants Take at No. 3? Here’s the Best Options

With the 2025 NFL Draft just days away, the buzz is real around what the New York Giants will do with the third overall pick. Most people expect the Titans to take QB Cam Ward at No. 1, but the Browns at No. 2 are still a mystery—which makes the Giants’ move even more unpredictable.

Here’s a rundown of the top prospects New York might target:

1. Travis Hunter (WR/CB, Colorado)
Hunter is the most versatile player in the draft—he can play both wide receiver and cornerback at a high level. His college coach, Deion Sanders, says the NFL’s slower pace compared to college actually works in Hunter’s favor. If the Browns pass on him, the Giants would be crazy not to grab the Heisman winner. He could instantly be their second-best receiver and possibly their top corner.

2. Shedeur Sanders (QB, Colorado)
If the Giants want a QB to compete with Jalen Hurts and Jayden Daniels in their division, Shedeur Sanders could be the answer. He’s been in the spotlight for years and doesn’t shy away from pressure. While some question his arm and athleticism, his toughness and confidence might be what the Giants need under center.

3. Abdul Carter (Edge, Penn State)
The Giants have a rich history of dominant pass rushers, and Carter fits that mold. He’s explosive and would pair nicely with Thibodeaux, Brian Burns, and Dexter Lawrence. With guys like Hurts and Daniels in the division, they’ll need all the pass-rushing help they can get.

4. Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State)
Giants fans still feel the sting of losing Saquon Barkley to the Eagles. Jeanty is a dynamic back who racked up over 2,600 rushing yards and 29 TDs last season. Still, with Tyrone Tracy Jr. already set to start, picking Jeanty at No. 3 feels like a long shot.

5. Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)
The Giants have struggled against the run for a couple years now, and Graham could help fix that. He’s a relentless tackler with great size and strength. Not the flashiest pick, but if the Giants want to beef up their run defense, Graham could be their guy.
