Moving Up? 2025 NFL Mock Draft with Every First-Round Trade

It’s that time of year again—mock draft season! While most people are busy analyzing ESPN experts like Mel Kiper Jr., Field Yates, Jordan Reid, and Matt Miller to figure out who their favorite team might pick in the NFL Draft, I’m here for something even better: the wildest, most ridiculous mock draft full of trades.

Most mock drafts avoid trades because, let’s be real, predicting where players will land is tough enough without trying to guess which teams will make moves. But I’m embracing the chaos. In my version, every single one of the 32 first-round picks gets traded—but in different hypothetical universes. The trade at No. 1? It’s not connected to the trade at No. 2. Each one exists in its own alternate reality.

Obviously, most of these picks won’t actually be traded—none have been so far—but I’m crafting scenarios where teams might feel the need to make a move. What if QB Shedeur Sanders slips out of the top 10? What if there’s a mad dash for offensive linemen early on? What if big names like Trey Hendrickson, George Pickens, or even Micah Parsons are suddenly on the move?

To keep things semi-realistic, I’m using the famous Jimmy Johnson trade value chart, which teams use to gauge the worth of draft picks. And since this draft class doesn’t have a ton of elite quarterback prospects, teams moving up in my scenarios don’t have to pay the usual sky-high price.

I’m also considering the trade habits of current general managers. For example, Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah used to be all about trading down—until last year, when he went all-in for QB J.J. McCarthy and edge rusher Dallas Turner. While I’ll lean on past tendencies, anything can happen when a coach or scout falls in love with a player.

For clarity, I’m listing picks by round and overall selection (e.g., “2-38” means the 38th overall pick in Round 2). Future picks are just listed by round since we don’t know where they’ll fall yet.

Now, let’s kick things off with the No. 1 pick—the trickiest one of them all. I’m convinced the Titans will draft Cam Ward, but what if they’re not as sold on him as we think?
