Wilson Hits the Field with His New Giants Crew

When the New York Giants signed Russell Wilson to a one-year deal, they didn’t just get a starting quarterback. They also got a leader, a mentor, and someone who’ll make the whole team better. Wilson made it clear he’s all in, ready to take charge, guide the rookies, and handle the massive pressure of playing in New York.

Wilson recently got together with some of his new teammates for a workout at Georgia Tech and posted a picture on Instagram with receivers Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and tight end Theo Johnson. “Good few days with the boyzzz,” he wrote, showing his usual excitement.

In his intro press conference, Wilson couldn’t hide his enthusiasm. He said, “We haven’t gotten into the details yet, but we’re excited to start working together soon. A lot of guys want to throw already, and I’ve already talked to a few of them about getting together. I’m pumped to get started.”

Wilson’s deal is for one year and $10.5 million, with potential bonuses that could bump it up to $21 million. This is his job to lose, and while a rookie quarterback might push for the spot later in the year, Wilson’s not looking to finish his career on someone else’s terms. He’s here to win games, and he’s already putting in the work to make that happen.

“We’re going to challenge each other every day to be our best,” Wilson added, “starting with me. I want to push myself and the team every day.”
