Sam LaPorta: A Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Target for 2025
Sam LaPorta’s second NFL season wasn’t as dominant as his record-setting rookie campaign, but that might make him a prime trade target in dynasty fantasy football.
After a slow start to 2024, where he ranked outside the top 20 fantasy tight ends through Week 7, LaPorta rebounded in a big way. From Week 8 onward, he hauled in 46 catches for 502 yards and six touchdowns, finishing as the TE6 in 0.5 PPR scoring over that stretch. In the fantasy playoffs (Weeks 15-17), he was the TE1 in standard and 0.5 PPR formats.
Now, with expectations slightly tempered, some managers might be willing to part with him for the right price. Dynasty analysts suggest LaPorta is no longer the TE1 in long-term rankings, but he remains a high-upside asset, especially in tight-end premium leagues.
