Tom Brady has faced plenty of NFL legends over his 20+ year career, but when asked who he was most afraid to be hit by, one former Detroit Lion made his list.
Appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Brady rattled off some of the scariest defenders he ever lined up against — names like Ray Lewis, Aaron Donald, J.J. Watt — but he also included ex-Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Suh, the second overall pick by Detroit in 2010, was a wrecking ball early in his career. Standing 6’4″ and 313 pounds, he combined sheer power with a reputation for playing on the edge. In just five seasons with the Lions, Suh racked up 36 sacks, 238 tackles, and 66 tackles for loss, earning four All-Pro selections.
While Brady didn’t face Suh much during those Detroit years, the two crossed paths several times when Suh was with the Dolphins — and interestingly, they later became teammates with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Together, they won a Super Bowl in 2020 and played one more season side by side in 2021.
Brady’s list also included another player with Lions ties: Haloti Ngata, who spent the final years of his career in Detroit.
It’s a fun reminder of just how much respect former Lions defenders still command — even from the greatest quarterback of all time.
