Cam Skattebo Isn’t Sweating the Doubters—He’s Ready to Hit Back

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo knows he’s not the fastest guy on the field—but he’s cool with that. Instead of blazing past defenders, he brings a bruising, physical style that might just be what the Giants need.

Drafted in the fourth round, Skattebo is well aware of the critics who question his speed. But he’s been hearing it his whole life, and now he’s using the doubt as motivation.

“If people want to sleep on me, let them,” he said during rookie minicamp. “That’s never stopped me before. I’m going to keep doing what I do and make this work for as long as I can.”

Skattebo’s college numbers back him up. In his final season at Arizona State, he racked up 1,711 rushing yards and scored 21 touchdowns in just 13 games—good enough to land him fifth in the Heisman voting.

Bottom line: Cam’s not here for the praise. He’s here to prove people wrong—and run right through them if he has to.
