Bears Just Dropped the News We’ve All Been Waiting For

Bears Drop Their 2025 Training Camp Schedule — Get Ready!

The Chicago Bears just spilled the beans on their 2025 summer practice dates, and fans can finally mark their calendars. Training camp officially kicks off on July 25, and the team’s got 11 open practices lined up where anyone can show up and catch some action.

Here’s the deal: rookies hit the field first on July 19, with the veterans rolling in a few days later on July 22. From there, the Bears will be putting on quite the show until August 15, when the last open practice wraps up.

Oh, and it gets better. The Bears will also have some joint practices with the Miami Dolphins (August 8) and the Buffalo Bills (August 15). That’s a chance to see how the Bears stack up against some serious competition before the season even starts.

Here’s the full list of open practices (times might change, so keep an eye out):

* July 25, 26, 29, 30, 31, August 2 — all start at 9:30 a.m. ET
* August 7 (noon), August 8 (11:30 a.m.), August 13 (1:30 p.m.), August 14 (noon), August 15 (11:30 a.m.)

Why This Camp Matters More Than Ever

New head coach Ben Johnson is still settling in with the team, so this camp is all about figuring out who’s got what it takes. QB Caleb Williams and cornerback Jaylon Johnson are already seen as leaders, but a lot of spots are up for grabs. Everyone else, rookies and vets alike, will need to prove their worth if they want to stick around.

And thanks to those joint practices, Johnson and his staff will get a great chance to see how their guys perform against some tough opponents — which is huge for figuring out what works and what doesn’t before the games even begin.

What Else Bears Fans Should Know

Besides practice, the Bears have three preseason games lined up:

* August 10 vs. Dolphins
* August 17 vs. Bills (home)
* August 22 @ Chiefs

After that, the team has to trim the roster down from 90 players to 53 by August 26 at 4 p.m. ET. That means some players will get cut, some will land on injury lists, and others might head to the practice squad.

Finally, the Bears kick off the 2025 regular season on September 8, facing the Minnesota Vikings in a Monday Night Football showdown. Can’t wait!
