Bradley Beal’s time with the Phoenix Suns appears to be over. Following two disappointing seasons — a first-round playoff sweep in 2024 and missing the playoffs entirely in 2025 — the Suns are reportedly finalizing a buyout with Beal, according to PHNX Sports’ Gerald Bourguet.
Beal, who averaged 17 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds last season while shooting nearly 50% from the field, still has two years left on his five-year, $251 million contract. With his full no-trade clause, the Suns were unable to find a trade partner.
Once Beal clears waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent. ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reported that the Miami Heat are expected to lead the pursuit for Beal, with the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and Milwaukee Bucks also expected to show strong interest.
If the Lakers sign Beal, he would join a star-studded roster featuring LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Austin Reaves, potentially giving Los Angeles another elite scorer and playmaker heading into the 2025-26 season.
