Alabama Names Three Player Reps for SEC Media Days with Coach DeBoer

The Alabama Crimson Tide will be well-represented at the 2025 SEC Media Days in Atlanta, with head coach Kalen DeBoer set to appear alongside three standout players: quarterback Ty Simpson, linebacker Deontae Lawson, and wide receiver Isaiah Bond.

The annual event, which serves as the unofficial kickoff to the college football season, will give fans and media alike a closer look at how Alabama is preparing for a new era under DeBoer. It also marks a significant moment of leadership for the selected players, all of whom are expected to play key roles on and off the field this fall.

Ty Simpson, expected to lead Alabama’s offense in 2025, will face the media spotlight as he steps into the starting quarterback role. His progression and comfort in DeBoer’s system will be a top storyline heading into the season.

On the defensive side, Deontae Lawson returns as a veteran anchor of the Crimson Tide’s front seven. His presence at Media Days signals his growing leadership and importance in guiding a unit that aims to reclaim its dominant edge.

Wideout Isaiah Bond, one of the team’s most explosive weapons, rounds out the trio. After a breakout 2024 season, Bond is expected to be a major playmaker in DeBoer’s offensive scheme and a go-to target for Simpson.

With new faces and new energy, Alabama will be looking to reassert itself atop the SEC after narrowly missing the College Football Playoff last season. Coach DeBoer’s first Media Days appearance as Alabama’s head man will be closely watched, as fans and analysts look for insight into the Tide’s future under his leadership.

SEC Media Days 2025 will run from July 15–18 at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta, with Alabama scheduled to appear on Day 2 of the event.
