Detroit Lions rookie offensive lineman Miles Frazier is dealing with a knee injury that could sideline him until September or October, according to head coach Dan Campbell, as reported by The Detroit Times on Tuesday.

It’s not the start the Lions were hoping for. After last season’s strong run to the top seed in the NFC, Detroit’s playoff hopes were crushed by a surprising loss to the Washington Commanders in the divisional round — with injuries playing a major role in their late-season collapse.

Now, with training camp just kicking off, health concerns are once again creeping in — this time, involving promising young talent.

Fans didn’t hold back their frustration on social media.
“Every year there’s a draft pick or two with chronic injury problems. It’s going to catch up with them eventually,” one fan posted on Twitter.

Another wrote, “I second my previous comment that the Lions should hire a brand new medical staff cause yikes.”

Others turned their criticism toward the players themselves:
“All of these guys were not taking care of their bodies in the offseason… they should have laid off the steak and potatoes and trained more,” one person said. “You can’t replicate speed in training, but you can do certain drills that emphasize movement and leg strength.”

With the season approaching, Detroit must get ahead of these setbacks before things unravel again.
