Detroit Lions on Alert as Taylor Decker, Penei Sewell Miss Wednesday Session

The Detroit Lions could be facing serious offensive line concerns heading into Week 10. Both starting tackles — Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell — were absent from Wednesday’s practice, raising questions about the team’s protection up front.

Decker, the veteran left tackle and cornerstone of Detroit’s O-line, has been managing lingering issues throughout the season, while Sewell has been one of the most reliable players on the roster. Seeing both sidelined simultaneously is far from ideal for Jared Goff and the Lions’ offense, which already struggled with consistency during last week’s loss to the Vikings.

Head coach Dan Campbell didn’t provide much detail on the severity of their absences, but fans are understandably anxious. With the Commanders up next — and their aggressive front seven ready to exploit any weakness — Detroit will need its top linemen healthy and ready. If not, the offense could be in for another rough outing.
